Automatic and manual inspection in EyeC ProofRunner Sheetfed
- The EyeC ProofRunner software in the printing process
  In this chapter, the user is introduced to the fundamental steps of the print inspection with the EyeC ProofRunner system. The EyeC ProofRunner software allows for automatic as well as manual operation. The automatic mode, by which the software responds to signals from the control system of the print machine, is the standard mode of operation. A manual operation of the software is only necessary when there is no signal from the control system of the print machine is available. The following figure shows how the software integrates into the printing process. In the main part of the manual, both the automatic inspection process and the manual process are described step by step.

    In the inspection screen the user can switch between different views to monitor and/or adjust the actual inspection. The general user interface layout can be divided into 5 parts.

Creating a reference sheet image

After downloading the job data, the software automatically begins with the image of the reference sheet.

The received sheet is displayed, however it is not yet inspected.

The print process is continued for the creation of the reference sheet.
The signal or the time for the selection of the potential reference sheet is customer-specific (see The EyeC ProofRunner software in the printing process) and takes place either before or after the printing process is stopped again („Print OFF“).
