Automatic and manual inspection in EyeC ProofRunner Sheetfed
- The EyeC ProofRunner software in the printing process
  In this chapter, the user is introduced to the fundamental steps of the print inspection with the EyeC ProofRunner system. The EyeC ProofRunner software allows for automatic as well as manual operation. The automatic mode, by which the software responds to signals from the control system of the print machine, is the standard mode of operation. A manual operation of the software is only necessary when there is no signal from the control system of the print machine is available. The following figure shows how the software integrates into the printing process. In the main part of the manual, both the automatic inspection process and the manual process are described step by step.

    In the inspection screen the user can switch between different views to monitor and/or adjust the actual inspection. The general user interface layout can be divided into 5 parts.

Import of the job data

After setting up the print machine, the job data is automatically downloaded. The corresponding PDF template of the job data is displayed. In automatic mode, all default settings are already programmed so that the user does not have to take any action.

In the standard operation, the PDF template is automatically downloaded and displayed. If there is no template, it can be loaded manually (see Setting up a print job for the manually-led inspection).
