Automatic and manual inspection in EyeC ProofRunner Sheetfed
- The EyeC ProofRunner software in the printing process
  In this chapter, the user is introduced to the fundamental steps of the print inspection with the EyeC ProofRunner system. The EyeC ProofRunner software allows for automatic as well as manual operation. The automatic mode, by which the software responds to signals from the control system of the print machine, is the standard mode of operation. A manual operation of the software is only necessary when there is no signal from the control system of the print machine is available. The following figure shows how the software integrates into the printing process. In the main part of the manual, both the automatic inspection process and the manual process are described step by step. EyeC ProofRunner Sheetfed systems use 2 modes. This manual describes the iX mode. iX stands for instant examination.

The manually-led inspection process

This chapter describes the most important steps of the manual operation process for the Operator. This includes setting up the order as well as navigating through the step chain of the inspection.

Note:

A manual print inspection is only necessary if no control signals are available in the higher-level system.
