Automatic inspection process

The automatic inspection process is the standard mode of operation. The EyeC ProofRunner software is connected with the print machine controls and receives external signals, which serves as a switch point for the process sequence of the print inspection.

Prerequisite for the automatic mode: The job has been downloaded on the print machine.

Standard mode

The automatic inspection process for the standard mode is described in the following steps:

  1. Starting the software. See Starting the EyeC ProofRunner software.

  2. Importing the job data. See Import of the job data.

  3. Comparing the PDF template with the reference sheet. See Comparison of the PDF template with the reference sheet.

    • Recording the sheet

    • Choosing the potential reference sheet. See chapter "Choosing the potential reference sheet".

    • Testing the potential reference sheet

    • Assessing the potential reference sheet

    • Approving the reference sheet

iX mode

The automatic inspection process for the iX mode is described in the following steps:
