The EyeC ProofRunner system

Intended use

EyeC ProofRunner must only be used for its intended use. For this product, that is defined as follows:

“EyeC ProofRunner is a software-based system for inline quality control of print products. The inline-inspection offers a guarantee of quality standards for complete print jobs. A high resolution camera, which is installed directly on the machine, receives images of the printed product parallel to the print process. The EyeC ProofRunner software compares these images with the template file based on previously defined quality parameters. Variations in quality are displayed as suspected sites, which can be evaluated by the operator and provide a basis for decisions in the continuing printing process. Thus, the system allows for early detection of errors in the printing process.”

The standard Sheetfed inspection process

The standard inspection process consists of 6 simple steps:

1. Starting the software
2. Loading the job data (including the PDF template)
3. Creation of a reference sheet from a printed product
4. Automatic comparison of PDF template and reference sheet
5. Automatic comparison of reference sheet with another sheet

6. Creation of a report
