Automatic and manual inspection in EyeC ProofRunner Sheetfed
- The EyeC ProofRunner software in the printing process
  In this chapter, the user is introduced to the fundamental steps of the print inspection with the EyeC ProofRunner system. The EyeC ProofRunner software allows for automatic as well as manual operation. The automatic mode, by which the software responds to signals from the control system of the print machine, is the standard mode of operation. A manual operation of the software is only necessary when there is no signal from the control system of the print machine is available. The following figure shows how the software integrates into the printing process. In the main part of the manual, both the automatic inspection process and the manual process are described step by step.

    For the navigation through the inspection, the Operator is provided with buttons that are located in the right area of the screen.

Setting up a print job for the manually-led inspection

Start the software by double-clicking on the EyeC ProofRunner icon on the desktop.
The start screen appears.

Choose 1 of the following options:

Enter the job data in the acquisition screen.
Load a PDF template that can be used as a reference file for the reference sheet.
Create a reference sheet manually. See Creating a reference sheet without a PDF comparison.

2	Loads the PDF template. Should a PDF comparison of the reference sheet be made during the inspection process. the corresponding file can be loaded by clicking on the button.
3	After entering the job data, use the Capture sheet button to capture a sheet.
