Navigating through the manual inspection

For the navigation through the inspection, the Operator is provided with buttons that are located in the right area of the screen.

  1. If necessary, the job can be cancelled by clicking Cancel job.
    You get back to the acquisition screen.
  2. To choose a sheet as a reference sheet, click the Select master sheet button. Select master sheet
    • Variation X (Standard): The recent sheet is the potential reference sheet.
    • Variation Y: After clicking on the Select master sheet button, a window appears in which the number of the printing sheet to is to be entered manually.

  3. Choose 1 of the following options:
    • By clicking on Qualify items by PDF the EyeC ProofRunner changes to the EyeC Proofiler view and a comparison of the PDF template and the selected reference sheet with items identification is started.
    • Alternatively, you can define the items on the reference sheet manually by clicking on Define items manually.

  4. The inspection is similar to an inspection with EyeC ProofRunner. Differences between the reference and the sample are shown and the found items are displayed.
  5. After adopting the reference sheet the system returns to the EyeC ProofRunner software. The reference sheet and all items found are displayed.

    When suspicious areas are found, they are displayed and marked by colors:

    • Green: No suspicious areas are found or all suspicious areas are evaluated as good.

    • Orange: Some suspicious areas are found, but remained not evaluated.

    • Red: Suspicious areas are found and were rated as defect.

    • Adopt

      By clicking on Adopt the actually displayed sheet is used as a reference sheet.

    • Create report

      By clicking Create qualification report a dialog appears which contains some report templates. The desired template can be marked and selcted by clicking OK. The corresponding report appears on your screen as a PDF file.

    • Cancel

      By clicking Cancel the PDF comparison is canceled.

  6. After adopting the reference sheet, the system returns to the EyeC ProofRunner software.
    The reference sheet and all items found are displayed.

  7. Start the inspection by clicking on the button Start inspection.
  8. The procedure corresponds to the automatic inspection. If suspicious areas are found, they are displayed and the Operator is able to evaluate them. Once the printing job is completed, the report must be generated manually by clicking the Report button. The software must be closed manually.
