Usage of the PC
-
When setting up the PC, scanner or monitor for operational purposes, ensure that the ground is flat and even.
-
The PC and hard drive must be protected from dirt, dust, liquids, food, extreme temperatures and excessive sunlight.
-
If condensation is caused by a change in the location of the system, do not use the system until the moisture has evaporated.
-
If a temperature change is caused be a change in the location of the system, do not use the system until the system returns to room temperature.
-
When disconnecting the appliance, pull at the plug or cable grip only and not on the cable itself. Do not rotate the plug when unplugging so that the contact pins do not bend. Before connecting the cable, ensure that the plug is properly aligned and not mounted at an angle.
-
Components such as the memory module must be handled carefully and should only be placed on its side so that the pins do not have direct contact on any surface.
-
If removing a memory module from the system board or disconnecting a device from the PC, wait at least 5 seconds after turning off the PC and removing the AC adapter cable in order to prevent possible damage to the system board. This work should only be done by an EyeC service technician.
-
When removing or installing memory modules, PCI cards or modems, the following must be followed: PC and all connected devices are powered off, the PC and device are connected from the plug outlet, and the person performing the job must be grounded (touching the bare metal of the rear connection bar of the PC).
