Applicable workplace safety instructions and accident prevention regulation for the entire facility and applicable workplace must be strictly observed. They are part of this manual, even if they are not specifically mentioned here.

The following safety instructions serve to protect your personal safety and protect the EyeC ProofRunner system and workplace from possible injuries and damages.
The user of the EyeC ProofRunner system is responsible for ensuring compliance with all safety and training for operators.
Familiarize yourself with the following safety instructions before using the system.

Observe all legal occupational safety and security regulations.
All safety information of the non-corporate hardware products apply to the EyeC ProofRunner system and must be observed. Please use the owner manuals of these components in order to familiarize yourself with the appropriate safety precautions.
Only sufficiently trained service technicians with relevant knowledge and proficiency of the system and the respective components are allowed to perform repairs and maintenance work.
No changes to the system can be carried out without approval of the manufacturer.
When connecting an extension cord to the power adapter, it is imperative to ensure that the nominal current of the devices plugged into the extension cord is not greater than the permissable rated current of the extension cord.
No objects may be pushed into the air vents or openings of your computer, scanner or monitor! This can lead to circuits, fire or electric shock.
The PC, scanner and monitor can not be set up near a heating appliance or any other heat source.
The PC, scanner and monitor can not be used in a humid environment.
When cleaning the PC, scanner or monitor, be sure all components are disconnected from their power source. The PC should be cleaned with a damp cloth. No liquid or spray cleaner that contains flammable substances is to be used to clean it. Use only a cleaner that has been approved by the manufacturer for this purpose.
When cleaning the glass surface, a standard cloth that is typically used for cleaning glasses or other optical equipment should be used.
Warm or hot system components must be cooled down before touching.
