Introduction to Braille height measurement

Good Manufacturing Practice (GMP) requires regular testing to ensure that the system is in operative condition and performing up to specification at all times. The EyeC Braille Target is a Braille standard to assist in determining if the EyeC Proofiler‘s Braille height measurement is operating properly and within the tolerance limits.

From a technical standpoint, EyeC recommends to perform the verification of the Braille height measurement using the EyeC Braille Target at least every 3 months for each scanner. Other process-related considerations may require a shorter testing period. At a minimum, the verification should be performed any time there is a doubt for the operating condition of the measurement system or the working method of a particular operator.

This document describes the verification process.
